This week we hear Jesus continue his sermon on the mount, teaching about the centrality of relationships, responsibility, and equity in his vision for the kindom of heaven. In the beginning of the gospel, Jesus even goes so far as to place reconciliation with another person over offering sacrifices at the temple, which was central to the religious life of his community at the time. Jesus, though, says that leaving your sacrifice and going to be reconciled is the most important thing one can do. With whom do you desire reconciliation today? What are you prioritizing over that reconciliation? What have you decided is more important than reconciling?
