In this week's gospel Jesus tells the story of the Good Samaritan to show us that our neighbors are more than just the people that live next to us, but all people. He teaches that we are neighbors to one another when we love and care for one another. Even though Jesus teaches us that our neighbors are more than just the people we live next to, it's still nice to take care of and love them whenever we can. This week think about one or two people or families in your neighborhood (maybe even living next door) that could use some love, care, and support. What is one way you could live into the spirit of the "good Samaritan" this week with this family or person in mind? Maybe a meal, or a gift, or a letter. Use your imagination, share your love and support, and take some time later in the week to check in about this experience of loving your neighbor.
